What the hell is that, and how does it happen? Mom calls out of the blue to say she might have pancreatic cancer. She’s freaking, Lisa’s hysterical, I’m in denial. Sounds about right for the three women of this family. I pray it’s nothing but some serious heartburn or something. Until today, I didn’t even […]

I got a design in from a friend and fellow ‘developer’. The design is great. It’s really cool. It would make a beautiful album cover or poster. But with all the graphics, textures, and backgrounds, it’s totally impracticable for web design. Everything would have to be an image, and most importantly, it leaves no room […]

I’ve been working very hard the past few weeks, in spite of all the animal troubles, to get myself organized, on a good Flylady (her site is a mess) routine, and Devon ready for school. And just like last time, I am all organized and excited to have the house in near perfect condition smelling […]

Thank God for country vet prices. Even though we walked out of there with nearly $300 in charges we got a lot of work done.

Heartworm test
Tick fever test
Medicine to knock him out
Medicine to wake him up
Heartworm medicine
Everything came out normal. We are still waiting for the thyroid panel results. Should be […]

I have created the perfect chocolate biscuit. The first batch I made were good, but pretty fudgy. This last batch? Ooo-la-la, boy oh boy, BABY! They were truly a biscuit. You could close your eyes and take a bite and your first thought would be “Mmmm, that’s a good biscuit. Wait…was that chocolate?!”
I can’t wait […]

Dear God - Bring order to the chaos of my life.
My job is to submit to his sovereignty, humble myself before him, and ask for his help.
The Purpose Driven Life devotional this morning must have known the order I seek and pray for on a daily basis. How else could they hit a target […]

For the umpteenth time this year, I made my way to the vets office to get a cat looked at. Punkin, the neighbor’s cat that I adopted after they died, has a one inch circular whole in his side that looked like was getting gangrene. I had started giving him antibiotics about 3 days ago, […]

Until you know how to design and code properly, don't charge for your work. You make the rest of us look expensive.
