Faces I love

I like to photograph people and animals. I try diligently to photograph clouds and trees, but for some reason I just don’t give them justice. I’ve got an old crappy digital camera that I use until I can afford one better. The only good thing about it is that it takes lenses. The downside: I don’t own any and wouldn’t know how to use them if I did.

My grandbabies came down to visit last week and over the weekend, and I got some really good candids. It totally sucks that they live so far away! Maybe one of these days when I’m rich and famous I’ll be able to see them more often. Until then, pictures will have to do.

BJ and Drake
Now, tell me these two don’t look related. Big heads and ears, squinty eyes and no teeth! LOL!! Aren’t they both precious?

Drake and CrystalCrystal. What else can be said? She is so much like her daddy which just makes me love her all the more. I am so proud of her and the woman she’s become. I sure wished I could convince her to move a little closer!

Miss HailyHoly cow!! What a hoot this little gal is! She is her momma made over times ten. She knows what she wants and isn’t afraid to tell you either. I am proud to see the independence in this one. If channeled right, she’ll be a success at anything she puts her mind to. Isn’t she just beautiful?

Miss Haily

Before they got here, I caught Devon outside (in his good school clothes!) playing in the sand. I don’t know what possessed the boy to rub sand all over his face, but when I found him he looked like he had a farmers tan with big white rings around his eyes. You can’t see the sand as much in the pictures, but trust me, it was hilarious. Most especially because he just knew he was in trouble. He was utterly delighted that he wasn’t. ;-)

And of course, it would be complete without at least one animal picture, right? So here is my baby, Tut, with his beautiful, piercing, golden eyes. He really is one cool cat. I’m glad he picked me.
